LEGAL CHALLENGES TO BE LAUNCHED AGAINST HEATHROW EXPANSION

Legal challenges are to be launched to the expansion of London's Heathrow airport, after MPs backed the plans.

A controversial third runway at Heathrow won support from an overwhelming majority of MPs, with the government saying extra capacity will boost business, jobs and international connectivity.

But environmental groups, a series of London councils, and London's Mayor Sadiq Khan will try and block the proposal in court.

West London MP Andy Slaughter doesn't think it will ever take off.
