UK AUTHORITIES TO CONTINUE CAMBRIDGE ANALYTICA INVESTIGATION

UK investigators say the closure of Cambridge Analytica won't stop investigations into alleged breaches of Facebook data for use in political campaigns.

The Information Commissioner's Office says individuals and directors will still be pursued.

Cambridge Analytica announced it's shutting down as a result of loss of business since allegations emerged it had used data from Facebook users to sway the 2016 US presidential election and the UK's Brexit vote.

Facebook says it will also continue its investigation into the data breaches.

San Francisco correspondent Rachel Silverman says Cambridge Analytica still insists it's done nothing wrong.
