Britain's Information Commissioner is applying for a court warrant to search the premises of a political consulting firm accused of using the personal data of 50 million Facebook users to influence the 2016 US presidential election.
It comes as executives from Cambridge Analytica which denies any wrongdoing, were secretly filmed by undercover reporters suggesting the company could use bribery and so-called honey traps to discredit politicians. From London, Catherine Drew reports.
