US President Donald Trump says "trade wars are good and easy to win" amid controversy over his decision to impose steep tariffs on steel and aluminium imports.
In an early morning Tweet, he said the US was "losing billions of dollars on trade".
On Thursday he said he would impose a tariff of 25% on steel imports and 10% on aluminium imports.
