Facebook takes out newspaper ads to apologize

Facebook is taking to the print media to offer an apology.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg took out full-page ads in papers across the United States and the UK on Sunday to apologize for the Cambridge Analytica privacy scandal.

In the ads, Zuckerberg described the episode as "a breach of trust" and offered his apologies that the company didn't do more at the time.

US correspondent Steve Mort says Facebook will now limit the data that app developers can access.
