White House Director of Communications to step down

The White House Director of Communications, Hope Hicks, has said she will step down from her position.

The announcement comes a day after her testimony to the House Intelligence Committee for its investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election  -- during which Hicks admitted to having been required to tell some "white lies" during her tenure with Trump.
