SpaceX set for historic Falcon Heavy launch

SpaceX is getting ready for a historic, but risky launch later [18:30GMT].

The Falcon Heavy rocket is expected deliver a red Tesla sports car into an orbit around the sun.

With three boosters and 27 engines, it'll be the most powerful operational rocket in the world.

SpaceX hopes the Falcon Heavy will be able to launch heavier payloads into orbit, and eventually send astronauts to the Moon.

Reporter Steve Mort in Cape Canaveral says the launch has been postponed multiple times, and SpaceX's Elon Musk has put the chances of a successful flight at between fifty and seventy percent.
