MAY HOSTS KEY BREXIT TALKS

UK Prime Minister Theresa May is holding a key meeting of senior ministers to try and agree the government's strategy for Brexit talks.

There have been splits in her cabinet over how closely aligned Britain should stay with the EU when it leaves the bloc.

At the meeting at the Prime Minister's country retreat, she'll need to secure agreement from ministers who supported Brexit, as well as those who wanted the UK to stay in the EU.

Former Conservative cabinet minister David Mellor says talks are expected to last for hours.
