Indian government backtracks on electric vehicle policy

India's Transport Minister has said that the government has now decided against a policy mandating a complete shift to electric vehicles by 2030.

Last year, the Indian government had said that it aims to have a fully electric fleet running on Indian roads by 2030- in a bid to phase out petrol and diesel vehicles.
