UK'S BREXIT LEGISLATION 'CONSTITUTIONALLY UNACCEPTABLE'

The UK government's flagship Brexit legislation is 'fundamentally flawed' and 'constitutionally unacceptable' according to an influential committee of peers.

The Lords Constitutional Committee has delivered its verdict on the EU (Withdrawal) Bill before the legislation is debated by the House of Lords for the first time on Tuesday.

The bill will end the supremacy of EU law, copying it into UK legislation, to ensure a smooth transition out of the bloc.

Leader of the House of Lords Baroness Evans is confident the bill will pass.
