The European Commission says they are ready to respond swiftly and appropriately to any restrictive trade measures imposed by the United States.
This statement comes after U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with Britain's ITV that the EU has been "very unfair" towards the U.S. in trade policy.
President Trump has turned his back on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership known as TTIP which was a trade agreement in negotiation between the EU and the US under the Obama administration.
European Commission spokesperson, Margaritis Schinas (Pron: Mar-gar-ree-tis skee-nass) says the EU is prepared to respond to any changes in trade dealings with the US.
