British Army chief calls for more defense investment to keep up with Russia

The head of the British army is warning that the UK would struggle to match Russian capability on the battlefield.

General Sir Nick Carter is calling for the government to invest in defence or risk further eroding the country's ability to combat external threats. 

Defence spokeswoman for the opposition Labour party Nia Griffith says General Carter was right to speak out.
