Moscow and Washington at loggerheads over global issues dominating 2018

Washington's relationship with Moscow has come under fresh scrutiny this week, as deep divisions over global conflicts (and how to handle them) resurfaced between their top diplomats.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson- whose own relationship with President Donald Trump has been rocky- defended American diplomacy in an opinion piece in the New York Times, and called on Moscow to moderate its position on Ukraine.
