White House dismayed by Russian actions on Syria

The Trump administration is not happy that Russia vetoed attempts to renew the Joint Investigative Mechanism for another year to continue to investigate chemical weapons use in Syria.

The remit of the panel is set to expire, and the United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said, Russia's vote means it effectively  "accepts the use of chemical weapons in Syria."

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders says the President's position on Syria is unchanged.
