Niger Condolences debate should have ended - White House

The White House is pushing back at the press for continuing to report on whether U.S. President Donald Trump's behavior during a condolences call to the widow of a Green Beret killed in Niger was appropriate.

During a remarkable briefing, Chief of Staff John Kelly made some allegations about Congresswoman Frederica Wilson which have been revealed to be false.

But White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders refused to budge on whether the retired general was accurate or not.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders says the goal of Chief of Staff Kelly's often deeply personal briefing was to stop discussion of the Niger condolences calls.
