European Parliament urges EU not to start trade deal talk with UK before "major breakthrough" in brexit talks

Members of the European Parliament have voted in favour of not opening trade talks with the UK before there's a "major breakthrough" in the Brexit negotiations. 

They complained of what they see as delays by the British government in talks to resolve the major issues on the UK's exit from the EU.
