US condemns Myanmar violence against Rohingya

The Trump administration is condemning the violence in Myanmar which has prompted more than 300,000 Rohingya Muslims to flee to neighboring Bangladesh.

The United Nations has described the situation as a text book example of ethnic cleansing.

The situation in Myanmar is expected to come up when U.S. President Donald Trump hosts Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak of Malaysia.
