GRENFELL INQUIRY OPENS

A public inquiry into the Grenfell Tower blaze is opening in London (Thursday).

The fire killed at least 80 people in June.

The inquiry will look into its cause and rapid spread, as well as the role of the local government, and regulations on high-rise buildings.

Sir Martin Moore-Bick heads up the inquiry, despite concerns from some residents that he's not the right person for the job.

London correspondent Lindsey Hume reports.
