US military says it has thousands more troops in Afghanistan than previously reported

The United States has acknowledged that it has thousands more troops in Afghanistan than it previously reported.

The Pentagon announced on Wednesday that there are 11,000 US troops currently in the country...thousands more than the previous figure.
