India's Defence Minister says its Army is ready to face any challenge

Hours after China's Foreign Ministry warned India that its Army could enter Indian border states of Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand, India's Defence Minister has said that India will respond to any and all border challenges.

This comes a week after India's Foreign Minister claimed that war with China was not the solution and that India wanted to resolve the issue diplomatically.

India and China have both been engaged at a stalemate at Doklam. China and Bhutan both claim the area as their own, India alleges it has intervened on behalf of its close ally and neighbour Bhutan.
