In the first days of his presidency, Donald Trump urged Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto to stop saying he wouldn't pay for a border wall between the two countries, saying it put him in a hard spot politically.
Transcripts of that call and another between Mr Trump and Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnball obtained by the Washington Post, show early clashes between the US President and America's allies.
