Britain's 96 year old Prince Philip, who has been at the side of Queen Elizabeth the Second for decades, officially retires today.
The Prince will attend a parade of Royal Marines at Buckingham Palace, bringing to an end his role in public life which has seen him make over 22 thousand solo public engagements, over six hundred solo overseas visits and five and a half thousand speeches. Catherine Drew reports from London.
