VAST ICEBERG BREAKS OFF ANTARCTIC SHELF

A 2200 square mile (6000 square kilometre) iceberg has snapped off the West Antarctic ice shelf, according to scientists.

It could pose a risk to cruise liners and shipping traffic in the region.
