U.S. authorities are trying to seize more than seven million US dollars linked to North Korea from eight international banks, according to federal court documents.
The US Department of Justice believe entities associated wtih North Korea had circumvented sanctions using accounts in these banks.
There is no indication the banks had knowingly violated sanctions.
