US pulls embassy family members out of Venezuela as political crisis deepens

The State Department is ordering family members of US embassy staff in the Venezuelan capital Caracas to leave.

The move comes ahead of elections on Sunday for a controversial new constituent assembly, which opposition members say would place too much power in the hands of President Nicolas Maduro's government.
