US Navy Fires Warning Shots Near Iranian Ship in Persian Gulf

A US Navy ship fired warning shots near an armed Iranian patrol boat
Tuesday in the northern end of the Persian Gulf. US defense officials
confirm the incident was sparked when the Iranian vessel ignored US
warnings to stop. It's the the latest in a series of close encounters
between ships from the US and Iran.
