UNESCO honors Brazilian slave port

The United Nations cultural agency UNESCO has declared a Brazilian
port where nearly a million slaves arrived a World Heritage site.

The ruins of the Valongo wharf in Rio de Janeiro were discovered
during construction work for the 2016 Olympics.
