Study: US Muslims say they face discrimination

Three quarters of all US Muslims say they face "a lot of discrimination," according to a new study.

A survey by the Pew Research Center finds more than seventy percent also believe President Donald Trump is "unfriendly toward Muslims."

The Council on American Islamic Relations says hate crimes against the Muslim community almost doubled in the first half of 2017, compared to the same period last year.

Spokesman Nezar Hamze [pron: Neh-tzar Ham-zee] says anti-Muslim sentiment is on the rise following a series of high profile terrorist attacks in recent months.
