Simone Veil to be laid to rest in the Pantheon

The French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that the former health minister Simone Veil will be buried in the Pantheon in Paris.
A survivor of the Holocaust, Veil is best known for leading the campaign for the legislation of abortion in France in 1974.
Almost half a million people had signed a petition asking that she be buried in the Pantheon alongside France's national heroes.
