Republicans move to repeal "ObamaCare"

U.S. Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell is moving to a simpler piece of legislation which would only repeal - but not replace - the health care legislation nicknamed "ObamaCare."

The Congressional Budget Office has already published an estimate of the impact of a plain repeal of the legislation, including over 30 million Americans losing health care insurance, and rates for premiums increasing over 20 percent.

Senator Mitch McConnell is blaming the Democrats for refusing to compromise.

Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Paul Ryan doesn't want to get ahead of the legislative process, but he's not interested in a single-payer system, again blaming the Decmorats for obstruction.
