Nearly all US Senators vote for new Russia sanctions

Ninety-eight out of one-hundred US Senators have voted in favor of imposing new sanctions on Russia.

The overwhelming support from the Senate comes just two days after the House of Representatives also saw a near-unanimous vote for the sanctions.

But the White House has warned the president may veto the bill.
