CHARLIE GARD'S PARENTS: TIME WAS WASTED

The parents of terminally-ill British baby Charlie Gard have dropped their legal fight to take him to the US for treatment.

Their legal team has told the High Court in London that 'time has run out' for the 11 month old.

He has a rare genetic condition and brain damage, and his London doctors have argued treatment abroad would be unlikely to help, and could increase his suffering.

Charlie's father Chris Gard spoke outside the High Court.
