AUSTRALIAN PM SEEKS ANSWERS OVER MINNEAPOLIS SHOOTING

Australia's Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says the country is seeking answers from US officials over the shooting dead of a woman by a policeman in Minneapolis.

Justine Damond, who's originally from Sydney, was killed after she called police to report a possible crime.

It's reported the 40 year-old was dressed in pyjamas as she approached the driver's side of a police car at the weekend.

The officer in the passenger seat opened fire, striking Justine Damond, but the incident was not recorded by the police car's cameras.

Malcolm Turnbull says there are lots of questions for Minneapolis authorities.

IN: "We are…
OUT: …Minneapolis."
DUR: 36 seconds
