US President Donald Trump says he intends to bring in new legislation
to prevent immigrants from claiming welfare for at least five years
after entering America.
He said he planned to put it into action "very shortly", but did not
give specific details or explain what it meant for recently arrived
immigrants.
President Trump was speaking to a rally of supporters in Cedar Rapids
in the US state of Iowa.
