Comey challenged by Republicans over why he didn't speak up earlier

Former FBI chief James Comey says the pressure he came under from U.S. President Donald Trump began early.

James Comey, testifying before U.S. lawmakers, investigating possible collusion between the Trump administration and Russia, paints a picture of a bullying president.

When challenged by Republican Senator Marco Rubio, on why he hadn't raised the alarm earlier- nor told the president at the time his behaviour was inappropriate- he said he didn't know.
