White House insists it's the winner of the spending battle

White House officials are insisting that President Trump is the big winner in the compromise to keep the U.S. federal government running, despite the fact that hardly any of the president's priorities are funded.

President Trump is expected to sign the compromise legislation by the end of the week, which provides spending rules until the end of September, with the next fiscal year beginning October 1.

Office of Budget and Management director Mick Mulvaney said President Trump got the upside of the deal with the Democrats.
