UK government sources say they will not be drawn into a 'briefing war' with the European Commission over Brexit negotiations.
It follows claims in German media that a dinner in London last week saw UK Prime Minister Theresa May and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker fall out over how Brexit talks will proceed.
EU sources leaked details of the dinner and suggested Mrs May has a lack of understanding about upcoming talks.
