Special Counsel Appointed to head Trump-Russia Investigation

The American Department of Justice has appointed a special counsel to head an investigation alleged Russian influence on the Trump election campaign.

The announcement of former FBI head Robert Mueller comes following mounting pressure on President Trump and lawmakers over the extent of the Russian links, and whether Mr Trump tried to shut down investigations into it.
