Charity groups have warned further cuts to Australia's foreign aid
budget are reckless, inhumane and could result in more refugees
undertaking dangerous journeys to Australia.
The Turnbull government will reportedly divert money from its foreign
aid budget to deliver extra funding to the country's security agencies,
including the Australian Federal Police, domestic spy agency ASIO and
ASIS the overseas secret intelligence agency.
