US imposes sanctions on foreign companies dealing with Iran

The United States is tightening sanctions on Iran and on foreign companies doing business with Tehran.

As our Washington correspondent John Clarke reports, the American State Department has applied sanctions on 30 companies and individuals accused of helping Iran's missile and weapons programmes.
