US commander slams UN draft resolution to ban nuclear arms

The top-ranking nuclear commander in the U.S. has come out strongly against a draft United Nations resolution to ban nuclear arms.

Speaking at a forum for military reporters, Air Force General John Hyten argued that nuclear arms are the best deterrent to stop armed conflicts from escalating into large-scale wars.
