US Federal Reserve leaves interest rates alone

America's central bankers have decided to leave key interest rates alone for now, noting moderate growth in the U.S. economy.

The Federal Open Market Committee promised to keep a close eye on economic developments but offered no hint about when the next interest rate hike might happen.
