UK GOVT PASSES BREXIT LEGISLATION HURDLE

The UK government has seen off a key attempt to amend its Brexit legislation in the House of Commons.

It means Prime Minister Theresa May is another step closer to being able to hit Article 50 and trigger exit negotiations with the European Union.
