next US attorney general, ending a bitter confirmation that had
Democrats recalling past allegations of racism against the Alabama
senator.
With Sessions' confirmed, Donald Trump welcomes a close ally
to the Justice Department at a time when the president may need help
to defend his controversial immigration policies in the courts.
