UN prepares emergency aid for Mosul

The United Nations has warned it is racing to gather emergency
supplies for civilians caught up in the army offensive on the Iraqi
city of Mosul.

Government troops are trying to force Islamic State militants out of
the western part off the city, the group's final urban stronghold.
