Obama shortens sentences of 300 drug offenders

US President Barack Obama has commuted the sentences of over three hundred prisoners convicted of drug offenses, during his last day in office.

This brings the total of commutations he's issued up to one thousand seven hundred and fifteen  - more than any other American president in history.
