White House criticizes Carrier jobs deal

The White House is criticizing the deal to keep 1,000 manufacturing jobs at the Carrier air conditioning plant in Indiana.

Donald Trump is kicking off his so-called victory tour at the plant.

According to reports, the manufacturer was offered $7 million in tax breaks, and it's parent company, a major defence contractor, was worried about it's relationship with the incoming Trump admininistration.

While welcoming the jobs news, White House spokesman Josh Earnest says Donald Trump still has a lot of work ahead of him.
