DOWNING ST. PLAYS DOWN 'CAMERON FOR NATO' REPORTS

The UK government is playing down reports former Prime Minister David Cameron is being lined up as a future NATO secretary general.

It's been suggested he could be promoted as chief of the military alliance as a way of boosting Britain's international role amid its exit from the European Union.
