President Jacob Zuma's stay in office remains under scrutiny with a renewed demand for him to resign

Reports indicate Zuma faces a vote of no-confidence from his own party, the Africa National Congress, the ANC

According to some sections of South African media, critics pushing for Zuma's removal include senior officials of the party and some of his cabinet ministers

Some reports say that recent party meetings have witnessed a divided ruling ANC over the matter

Analysts say that while the South African leader enjoys some strong support of the ANC's executive, recent revelations have shown growing dissatisfaction from within the party

Zuma's presidency is no stranger to criticism especially from the opposition, who've in the past accused him of abuse of power and corruption.
