The annual post-Thanksgiving shop-a-thon known as Black Friday is well and truly underway in the US - but now seems to be a weekend-long event.
According to the National Retail Federation, holiday sales are expected to increase by over 3 and a half percent this year - and it's crucial for retailers, accounting for as much as 40% of their annual sales.
